Weekly Events

The Core hosts weekly events ranging from dodgeball to body surfing contests in locations throughout the county.  All youth sixth grade and older are welcome to attend.  Please click here for a calendar of our upcoming weekly events.

The Core hosts youth meetings every two months in which the youth decide which events they want to put on the calendar.  As long as their ideas are legal and feasible, they happen.

Core Championship
Tour (CCT)

The Core Championship Tour (CCT) is our year long competition where the youth accumulate points from weekly events, their GPA, and their volunteer hours with The Core and other local non-profits.  We reward them for staying on the right track.  The top 3 points earners win a weeklong trip to Oahu’s North Shore.   4th through 10th place finishers win huge prizes donated by CCT sponsors.

  Since 2005, over 2000 young people have participated in our weekly events giving our sponsors the opportunity to reach out and give back to the youth of Santa Cruz.
